Sunset Canyon Baptist Church Trunk or Treat
We invite you to bring your whole family and join us for Sunset Canyon Baptist Church's Annual Trunk or Treat! Saturday, October 31, 4-6 pm. This year's Trunk or Treat will be a DRIVE THRU due to COVID-19 precautions. We will be handing out candy and treats, and there are sure to be plenty of entertaining decorated trunks and costumes! Don't miss it!

Empty Bowls Project Home Edition
The Annual Empty Bowls Project, a fundraiser for Dripping Springs Helping Hands, returns for its 23rd year with a new Look and format. During the month of November, the Empty Bowls Project Home Edition will be brought to personal devices through a digital platform. Beginning November 1st, the event will post a daily feature of recipes from many of the talented chefs who have donated delicious soups in past years. The Home Edition will also highlight creative potters, talented musicians and dedicated supporters. DSISD School Board Election
The DSISD Board of Trustees May 2 election was moved to Nov. 3, because of COVID-19. The filing period, however, will not be re-opened. The ballot will remain the same with the five candidates that filed: Lori Broughton, Stephanie Holtzendorf, Ron Jones, Barbara Stroud, and Jon Thompson.

William B. Travis Heritage Trail Memorial Dedication
The Daughters of the Republic of Texas will host a dedication ceremony for the William B. Travis Heritage Trail marker at the Driftwood Cemetery. The dedication is set for 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Driftwood Cemetery, located at RM 150 and Elder Hill Rd. Hays County, Texas. Parking is available at the Driftwood United Methodist Church 15090 RM 150 and at the paved entrance to the Cemetery. 3-6 p.m. Veteran’s Day Tribute for all area veterans. Drive-thru gift bags in the parking lot at the corner of Mercer Street and Old Fitzhugh Road. Hosted by the Dripping Springs Rotary Club.
