June 18

Outdoor Movie at DS Community Library

From 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. the movie Pi will be shown at the Dripping Springs Community Library. The movie is rated PG and runs two hours and seven minutes. Bring your lawn chairs and set up in the back parking lot. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Register at dscl.org.

Juneteenth Virtual Art Exhibit

Dripping Springs Community – Empowering Positive Change will sponsor a virtual art show that highlights art pieces from a variety of genres with a Juneteenth theme. Viewing of Art will begin on June 18, and can be found at: https://tejasfolkarts. wixsite.com/juneteenthart/2021-gallery.

2021 National Sumo Championships

The weekend celebration of Japanese culture will spread across the venue’s 64 acres in the Texas Hill Country and offer various entertainment, from Kyudo archery to Taiko drums, in addition to the Sumo Championships from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will also be some fun Father's Day beer freebies for dads.

Historical Tours at the Pound House Farmstead

Every Saturday in June and July The Pound House Farmstead will host costumed tours, blacksmith demonstrations and have pioneer yard games. Bring the whole family to join in the old fashioned fun! Pick up a Hill Country Trail Passport (they are free) filled with over 30 destinations of interest and experience all the Texas Hill Country has to offer.

Superhero Scavenger Hunt

Celebrate the heroes in your life Father’s Day weekend with a Superhero Scavenger Hunt at the Science Mill. Follow the clues to find 10 heroes hiding out among 50+ hands-on exhibits.

Pride of Dripping Springs

A family friendly event to celebrate diversity in Dripping Springs held at Roadrunners from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Beginning at 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. a panel of speakers will present. After 8 p.m. through midnight it’s adults only. Roadrunners features a full bar, kitchen and outdoor fun, including an 18-hole miniature golf course, darts, ping pong, disc golf, live music and more!
