City proclaims June as Pride Month
At the City Council meeting May 18, the City of Dripping Springs proclaimed June as Pride Month. “Inclusion is vital to achieve true unity, and the City is committed to promoting visibility, dignity, and equality for all LGBTQ+ people in our community,” reads the proclamation.
Elizabeth Alaniz from the organization, Dripping Springs Community Empowering Positive Change, accepted the proclamation, which was sponsored by Mayor Pro Tem Taline Manassian.
During the upcoming month of June and throughout the year, the City Council invites everyone to reflect on ways we all can live and work together with a commitment to cultivate respect, compassion, and understanding within the community.
