Celebrating veterans across Dripping Springs

When: Wednesday, Nov. 10, 11:10 a.m.

Where: Dripping Springs Middle School

What: DSMS will hold a luncheon for veterans in the cafeteria, and the DSMS choir will perform several songs. A schoolwide fundraiser will benefit Patriots’ Hall of Dripping Springs.

When: Thursday, Nov. 11, 8:00 a.m.

Where: Sycamore Springs Elementary

What: A ceremony will be held with a brief address from Principal Kirsten Bloomfield and a selected fifth-grade student. Refreshments will be served for veterans and their families at the front entrance following the ceremony.

When: Thursday, Nov. 11, 8:15 a.m.

Where: Walnut Springs Elementary

What: Pre-K and fifth-grade students will sing. Students will greet veterans and their families with posters, flags, thank you notes, and poems.

When: Thursday, Nov. 11, 8:15 a.m.

Where: Sycamore Springs Middle School

What: The SSMS choir and band will greet students in the hallways with patriotic music. All students are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue in honor of our veterans. The campus will also take up a collection and make a donation to support Patriots' Hall of Dripping Springs.

Where: Cypress Springs Elementary

What: Veterans are welcome to come and sit in the outdoor music learning space to watch fourth-grade students and the CSE Choir perform.

When: Thursday, Nov. 11, 8:30 a.m.

Where: Dripping Springs Elementary

What: Students will sing songs and read poems, along with a flag ceremony held by Boy and Girl Scouts. Retired Lieutenant Colonel Darrell Debish will give a brief address.

When: Thursday, Nov. 11, 9:00 a.m.

Where: Rooster Springs Elementary

What: A ceremony will be held, featuring speaker Captain Martin Lindig (USMC), music from thirdgrade students and a flag ceremony by Cub and Girl Scouts.

When: Thursday, Nov. 11, 10:30 a.m.

Where: Dripping Springs High School

What: A ceremony will be held featuring the DSHS Chamber Choir, DSHS band members Madelynn Glass and Dylan Saculla, Boy Scout Troop 101, and Retired Colonel Charles Catoe, Air Force. Veterans in attendance are welcome to stay for a luncheon in their honor following the ceremony.

Where: Dripping Springs Distilling

What: The Dripping Springs Rotary Club is hosting its annual Veterans Day fundraiser to benefit Patriots’ Hall. Doors open at 5 p.m. with a cash bar, and a taco buffet dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. A live band is scheduled to perform from 6 to 8 p.m.
