Capture the Dark Photo Contest still accepting entries
It’s no secret that Dripping Springs is a great spot to gaze at the Texas Hill Country skies. Beautiful night skies are celebrated here, and protected by the City’s Outdoor Lighting Ordinance. In 2014 the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) named Dripping Springs as the first International Dark Sky Community in Texas, and sixth in the world.
IDA is now accepting entries for its second annual Capture the Dark Photography Contest. It is free to enter and open to entrants worldwide. Winners of each category will receive prizes, including winning photos being featured in their Nightscape publication, blog and more. Submissions are accepted through July 23.
More details on how to enter can be found at www.darksky.org/capturethedark.
