2nd Annual Dripping Springs Race to Brunch 5k & Festival

The 2nd Annual Dripping Springs Race to Brunch 5k & Festival took place May 11th at the Caliterra Event Barn. The race took runners along the scenic trails in Caliterra and over Onion Creek. It was a wide assortment of participants as runners from Austin and the surrounding area joined residents in the fun—with some runners running with their children in strollers, while others ran with their dogs. One team of five women from Austin, called themselves and the “No Wine Left Behind Team,” and began their “celebratory drinks” before the race on the notion that they needed the calories for the race. “We like to drink wine. We like to run. What can I say?” team member Joanne Rowe said.

Along with the race, there were several vendor, food, and beverage booths, as well as media. The Dripping Springs High Steppers manned the sign-in table for runners and provided motivation during the run.
