As the Dripping Springs High School cross country team heads for the district meet in several weeks, they continue to improve their standings in competition.
The Dripping Springs High School volleyball team raised their record to 36-2, 6-0 with two tough wins over Westlake and Austin High Schools.
Fifty years ago, there was another Tiger football team that had in mind a district championship. A large contingency of returning starters were vowing to get the job done after suffering through one of the most snakebit seasons a team could endure. They had the great misfortune of losing four games in the final 20 seconds. This certainly gave them the resolve to take the 29A crown and they did.
The Lady Tigers Volleyball team have stretched their season record to 24-2 with wins over Austin Akins and New Braunfels. Akins was a district game while New Braunfels was non-district. Dripping Springs will be facing their first round of battles with the other top teams in the district, Westlake and Lake Travis. They will have to face the same pair again later in the schedule.
