Scott Hamilton McCulloch, age 39, of Austin, Texas passed away on May 31, 2021.

Our Lord took our Scott in His loving arms on Memorial Day this year. His sweet soul will be missed here on earth. Scott Hamilton McCulloch, born on December 27, 1981, was a precious son, brother, uncle and friend with deep emotional wounds from serving our country in the Iraq War as a combat medic. He was an honest man loyal to his family and friends. Scott was preceded in death by his uncle William Hamilton, fraternal grandparents Willie Ersell McCulloch Sr and Helen Chenault McCulloch; maternal grandparents Oscar A. Hamilton Jr. M.D. and Eutha Winfrey Hamilton. Scott is survived by his mother Mary, his brothers Trey (Athena) and Gary (Tina), his uncle David (Vicki), his aunt Marilyn, aunt Barbara (Peter), aunt Sally (Michael),two nieces, one nephew and one grandniece. Scott's father Willie McCulloch Jr. passed away on June 3rd.

Scott lived in Austin most of his life but still missed the quiet woods of his early childhood in Dripping Springs. He entered the US Army in April 2003 to fight the Global War on Terrorism in Mosul, Iraq serving honorably for three tours of duty. His time spent with his army brothers in the 1-24 Infantry was never forgotten. Scott was admired by his fellow soldiers as being a brave, reliable medic and cared deeply for the Iraqi people trying to stabilize their divided country. His heart was always on his sleeve. After his army career, Scott chose to live with his parents and helped his Mother care for his Father suffering from Alzheimer's. Scott was a valuable employee for Amazon working for LMTX "Last Mile" delivery service caring for his customers and would interact with his customers and their friendly dogs. Scott's Welsh Corgi misses him terribly. "Roxie" was his therapy dog who absolutely loved being adored.

Military services for Scott's ashes will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, November 5, 2021 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd) coordinated by Weed Corley Fish of South Austin. .
