Summer Reading Kickoff Party
COMMUNITY LIBRARY
The Dripping Springs Community Library (DSCL) held a summer reading kickoff party in the children’s wing recently. The occasion marked the beginning of summer vacation for young readers, and introduced summer programs and book clubs at DSCL.
“This is the first kick off we’ve had. We’ve had end of summer events where we do this type of thing, and give out the prizes for the summer,” Children’s Librarian Marie Kimbrough said.
During the event, the children’s wing was filled to capacity, as children and parents enjoyed entertainment from musician Tommy Mojica, face painting from Twisting Art, and balloon animals from Nate the Great.
