Free Admission to Veterans at Sea World
Beginning May 24 through July 4, 2018, U.S. veterans and up to three guests may enjoy free admission to SeaWorld San Antonio as well as other SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment properties across the U.S. This n w offer joins the ongoin Waves of Honor program that offers complimenta y admission to any U.S. active duty military, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman once per year, for the military personnel and as many as three direct dependents. Veterans must redeem their complimentary single-day ticket(s) online at www.WavesofHonor.com, and the free tickets are available online only (not available at the front gate for each park).

Summer Reading Kickoff Party
The ripping Springs Community Library (DSCL) will hold its summer reading kickoff pa ty on Saturday June 8, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., in the children’s wing. Enjoy entertainment and face painting from Twistin’ Art, Tommy Mojica, and balloon artist Nate the Great. Blanco Lavender Festival
Visit Blanco for its Blanco Lavender Festival June 8 and 9 at the Blanco Courthouse Square. Blanco is the Lavender Capital of Texas and holds a great “Lavender Festival” each June with vendors, displays, tours & entertainment. Th entire town the surrounding countryside will be bathed in lavender during the Festival. The La ender Market, on the grounds of the historic Blanco County Courthouse, is always a must-see highlight of the festival. Boy Scout Pack 280 will hold a Flag Retirement Ceremony on Thursday une 14, at 7 p.m., at St. Martin de Porress’s fi e pit area located by the parish hall, 350 Post Oak Drive. Magic at the Library
The ripping Springs Community Library (DSCL) will bring master comedy magician Oscar Munoz for one not to be missed show on Wednesday, June 20, at 3 p.m. His 45 minute M.O.R.E. show (Magic of Reading Everyday) is for all ages and emphasizes the importance of reading by using magic tricks, comedy, music, and live theatre. PEC Annual Meeting
PEC will have it’s annual meeting on Saturday June 23, at Smithson Valley High School, 14001 Texas 46, in Spring Branch, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The p ess release said, “We invite you to attend this day of family fun, including door prizes, food, activities and exhibits. Members of districts 1, 6, and 7 will also elect district directors. Learn the election results, get caught up on our accomplishments over the past year and take a peek at the exciting developments we have in store moving forward.” PEC voting districts are printed on your electric bill. Vacation Bible School
