DSISD Board stays the same

 

Voters reelected the two incumbents, Barbara Stroud and Ron Jones, to 3-year terms on the Dripping Springs Independent School District (DSISD) Board of Trustees.

The initial unofficial results of the May 6 election were as follows:

Ron Jones: 1,049 votes (39.76%)

Barbara Stroud: 1,032 votes (39.12%)

Trey Powers: 557 votes (21.11%)

DSISD trustees do not represent places; rather the top two vote getters are elected.

In a post election win communications, both Barbara Stroud and Ron Jones expressed thanks to their supporters and the community.

Stroud said, “I am honored that the community has placed their trust in me to allow me to serve for an additional three year term on the board.  I look forward to working with Dr. Gearing, Ron Jones and the rest of our dedicated board members to achieve the goals set out in our Strategic Plan.

Ron Jones and Barbara Stroud re-elected to DSISD

According to unofficial results from Hays County, Ron Jones and Barbara Stroud have been re-elected to three-year terms on the Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees.

Vote totals were as follows:

Ron Jones                 1,049 votes (39.76%)

Barbara Stroud         1,032 votes (39.12%)

Trey Powers              557 votes (21.11%)

DSISD trustees do not represent places; the top two vote getters are elected.
