Wrestlers competes in Don Hess Classic
Wrestling is a booming program at Dripping Springs. Just a few years back Coach Joe Kirksey did well to have enough wrestlers to field a varsity boys team. In today's world, they were able to take 45 wrestlers to Bryan, Texas to compete in the Don Hess Classic where they competed in four tournament divisions, including girls. Dripping Springs competed against 47 teams in varsity, JV and rookie divisions. The varsity boys placed seventh, while the other two divisions do not keep team totals.
Girls results: Catalina Miller was the only girl that made the trip and she placed third in the 119 class. She won 1.08 F; won .50 F; lost 4.29 F; won 2.41 F; won 12-4 MD.
