Tiger Tennis opens season
The Dripping Springs tennis team has been busy as they have opened their season with some tough competition. They dropped the opener with Round Rock Westwood 10-1. Then it was on to the Hill Country Invitation where they were triumphant over Kerrville Tivy 10-6 and Fredericksburg 10-9 on the first day of play. San Angelo Central would knock the Tigers out of the finals with a 10-7 decision. The third place game was against Lubbock Monterrey where Monterrey took a 5-2 margin in doubles play.
Next, the Tigers took a double-header win over Georgetown East View and Northside Health Careers by identical 15-4 scores. Fredericksburg would again take the Tigers to the limit before falling 13-6. State 6A powerhouse Lake Travis proved to be a little much for the Tigers in their 14-5 loss. Dripping Springs is now beginning district play among some of their future opponents.
