Thursday night softball muddled race for top

Everyone in the Thursday night softball league seems to be falling back to the middle to really muddle up the championship race. Everyone has lost at least two games with over half the season remaining.

League standings: Sons of Pitches 5-2; T-Baggers 5-2; Dripping Royalty 4-3; Fighting Pharmers 4-3; Zeros 3-4; Slapnut Magoos 2-4; Lastros 1-6.

Scores: Sons of Pitches took their first step back with a 17-11 win over Royalty. SOP then vanquished their next opponent, Fighting Pharmers 19-11. A four-run final at bat propelled the T-Baggers to a come-from-behind 15-14 victory over the Royalty. Scoring was scarce as the Zeros managed just enough to ease past the Lastros 8-4. Lack of runs continued to haunt the Lastros as they fell short to the T-Baggers 10-6. Slapnut Magoos ran roughshod over the Zeros 19-4.
