Thursday Night Adult Softball League Zeros go back into title race

It was another night of close games for the Thursday night league as final inning rallies fell short for many of the home teams. The Zeros got back into the title race with two wins.

League standings: Dripping Royalty 4-1, Fighting Pharmers 4-2, Sons of Pitches 3-2, T-Baggers 3-2, Zeros 2-3, Lastros 1-4, Slapnut Magoos 1-4.

Scores: Royalty broke a tiegame in the seventh with six runs to best Magoos 16-10. The Zeros jumped out to a 10-2 lead after two and then held off a six-run rally to defeat Pharmers 17-14. The reverse took place for the Pharmers with the Magoos. They led 11-1 after two but the Magoos came within one in the seventh with a sevenrun final inning before falling 14-13. A four-run fifth was the deciding impetus for the Zeros to edge the T-Baggers 9-8. The T-Baggers were able to fend off a final inning rally by Sons of Pitches to eke out an 11-10 victory. The Lastros continue to be the hardluck team as their rallies come up just short. This time it was a 12-10 loss to Sons of Pitches.
