Tennis teams suffers weather troubles

The Dripping Springs Team Tennis program has been having to battle the elements to get playing time on their schedule. September has been unusually wet causing some changes. One thing that has not changed is their quality of play. In the latest poll, the Tigers were ranked #5 in the state and first in Region 4.

The team has fared well against their district opponents and has taken on some tough opponents to keep sharp. In a district match DS blanked Lockhart 10-0 but a perennially strong Westlake program returned the favor with a 10-0 win. It was back to district, as Crockett would fall 10-0. They were able to play in the San Antonio Northeast ISD tourney. The Tigers opened with a 10-0 victory over SA Madison and 10-4 over SA O'Connor. The next day was rough as Fort Bend Clements whitewashed the Tigers 10-0 and then former district nemesis Alamo Heights took a 10-4 decision. The district tourney is coming up and then it will be on to the playoffs.
