Tennis doubles ends at state quarterfinal

The two Dripping Springs High School tennis doubles teams ran into some difficulty at the state tourney as they could not advance beyond the opening quarterfinal round. The boys team composed of Thane Johannsen and Henry Lovelace had the misfortune of drawing the future state champions from A&M Consolidated, Joey Tindell and Henning Schade. The result was a 6-2, 6-1 loss.
The girls team of Karley Higgerson and Whitney Robbins lost to Reilly Cleff and Madison Plowman of Grapevine 6-2, 6-2.
