Soccer programs rule district

Both of the Dripping Springs soccer programs are continuing to rule the district and look to have bright futures in the playoff rounds which will be coming up in a couple of weeks.

The Lady Tigers soccer team is running roughshod over all opponents as they head toward many team records. They are presently 18-1, 11-0 in district play, ranked first in Austin area and fifth in the state. They have given up only two goals for the season. One goal cost them their only loss and the other was selfinflicted. In the meantime, in their last nine district games they have scored 57 goals.

District wins: LBJ 4-0; Navarro 7-0; Lockhart 8-1; McCallum 2-0; Northeast 5-0; Travis 9-0; Crockett 9-0; Navarro 7-0; LBJ 6-0.

The Tigers are obviously matching the exploits of their school counterparts. They, too, are 11-0 in district and first in Austin area. In their last two matches they shut down Navarro 6-0, which included a hat trick by Ethan Roberts, and LBJ 7-1.
