Seventh Decade Games

1938: E.E. Myers scored four TD's including a 70 kickoff return to lead the Tigers to a 36-18 win over Uhland.

1948: Tigers downed Dowdy 22-6. No stats available.

1968: After a slow first half the Tigers finished strong to outclaw the Bertram Panthers 36-0. Joe Williamson's 50 punt return was the only score in the first half. Randy Garnett would get the lone score in the third. Paul Freitag, Williamson and John Murray scored in the fourth. Jimmy Stigler and Garnett had 2-pt EP's. Garnett rushed for

1978: Manor had too much firepower for the Tigers as they fell to the Mustangs 34-8. Vern McCarty would score the lone TD in the third with Ray Duvall adding the EP's. James Godwin rushed for 71, McCarty caught 5-44 and Calvin Myers 2-22.

1988: Tigers held onto an early lead to outlast the Burnet Bulldogs 28-24. Brett Boydston and Michael Myers scored TD's in the first quarter and Myers another in the second. It would be Todd Reimers 45 jaunt in the fourth that would make the difference. Scott Glass tacked on the EP's. In the receiving department John Coil 2-36, Marc Tinsley 1-24, John Russell 1-16 and Victor Crosswell 1-14.

1998: It was a battle of the Tigers as the Belton Tigers were able to hold off a stubborn bunch of DS Tigers 16-6. A one-yard pass from Britt Peterson to Regan Foster produced the only DS score late in the game. Peterson would hit 23 of 41 passes for 195 as the Tigers were unable to move the ball on the ground. Receiving: Matt Hightower 8-66, Rhett Eickenloff 4-25, Nick Sloan 3-26, Jason Wells 3-23, Foster 2-41, Josh Alba 1-13.
