Rain affects adult softball leagues

The monsoon season has played havoc with the outdoor activities of late. The men's Thursday night league suffered its third straight rainout and most likely all three leagues will be washed out following the five-inch rain last Friday night and a weather prediction of rain for all of this week.

Women's league standings: Barber Shop Beer Nuts 9-0, Life's A Pitch 8-2, Wonder Women 3-6, Wimberley Women 3-6, Scared Hitless 0-9.

Game scores: Beer Nuts took a pair with a 12-1 win over Wimberley and 11-6 over Wonder Women. Life's A Pitch also took two as they downed Wimberley 12-5 and Scared Hitless 10-0. Wonder Women came away with an 11-3 win over Scared Hitless.

Leading hitters: 4- Kassidy Kinsey; 3- Tina Cisneros, Kristi Satterfield, Karen Lilley; 2- Trisha Gusosky, Julie Davis, Makayla Hurlbut, Sarah Crain, Alli Akina, Maddie Lineberger, Lacey Carter, Preslee Whitman, Deb Niemeyer, Laura Filipovich, Jessica Dabbs, Kelly Romano, Cat Sustaita.

Tuesday men's standings: Chronic Offenders 8-4, DS Rentals Conglomerates 8-4, DS Electric Shockers 7-5, Baptist Bombers 1-11.

Game scores: The Conglomerates had their best hitting night this year as they managed to win their two games. They outscored the Bombers 11-1 and overran Chronic Offenders 24-9. The Shockers returned to the title race with two wins. They stopped the Chronic Offenders 11-3 and Bombers 17-8.

Leading hitters: 5- Bo Ledoux; 4- Ty Scott, Jeff Tuck; 3- Colton Coons, Jack Jones, Jordon Cones, Brian Horton, Jason Cones, Keith Coons, Carl Waits, Greg Harkrider, Tony Colladora, Jerry Haire, Pat King, Hezekiah Hamilton, Brian Varnell. Homeruns: Brian Horton.
