Middle School volleyball results delayed

Both of the Dripping Springs middle schools were in action in the past couple of weeks for their volleyball seasons. They had two regularly scheduled games and both competed in the DSMS tourney. Unfortunately, all the results were not reported but we will report what was received.

Sycamore Springs played Hudson Bend and West Ridge, plus the tourney. 8A: lost to Hudson Bend 23-25, 18-25 with Ambria Rupp had a very strong game from her middle blocker position. Defeated Hudson Bend 25-17, 23-25, 25-21 with Rupp having another good game. At the tourney the team defeated O'Henry, Fredericksburg and Kerrville in pool play. This put them in the finals against DSMS where they lost 24-26, 16-25. Taylor Tjelmeland, Jordan Cox, Tegan Weiss and Maya Carrizales were cited for their play in the tourney.

The only result given for 8B was the 25-20, 25-22 win over Hudson Bend. There were no 7A games reported. 7B won two of three against Hudson Bend and defeated West Ridge 24-26, 25-10, 25-13. Amelie Jetter and Nancy leading the way. In the tourney they placed second. In pool play, they lost to O'Henry 12-25, 25-20, 14-16, defeated McCormick 25-7, 25-6 and Kerrville 25-23, 27-25. In the finals they lost to Boerne South 17-25, 20-25. Kaleigh and Nancy played well in the tourney.

The only games reported for DSMS was their game with Hudson Bend. 8A lost 15-25, 25-27. 8B won 25-13, 22-25, 25-15 with Attie Lux and April Sedillo earned praise for their play. 7A won 25-17, 15-25, 25-15. Jillian Mucaleroy played well. 7B also won 25-18, 25-21 with Ava Zimmerman and Brianna Bone leading the way.
