Middle School Volleyball finish successful weeks

The Sycamore Springs volleyball teams had a successful couple of weeks in their competition. They did well in a scheduled game with Marble Falls and all three teams won their tourney in the Spikefest tourney in San Marcos.

8A: defeated Marble Falls 25-6, 25-7. Taylor Tjelmeland had 5 kills and Ambria Rupp 4. Natalie Arnold had 4 serving aces and 4 assists. Spikefest tourney: defeated Miller, Bastrop and Chapa in pool play, then climaxed it with an exciting game in the championship by defeating Barnes 25-17, 25-20. Every team member made their contributions with Arnold and Maya Carrizales having notable performances.

7A: Defeated MF 25-16, 25-13. Defeated Miller, Poth and Dailey in pool play before defeating Goodnight in the finals.

7B: Lost to MF 20-25, 21-25. In the tourney defeated Miller 20-11, 20-17 and Dailey 20-10, 20-5 before defeating Briesemeister 25-23, 25-17 in the finals.

DSMS teams took on West Ridge and Marble Falls winning three of four in each. With West Ridge 8A won 25-22, 25-14 with Karley Sledge, Avery Dement and Kiera O'Connor leading the effort. 8B won 25-11, 25-21. Player of the game was Rylie Sobeck. 7A won 25-12, 25-22. POG: Kylie Landes. 7B lost a tough one in three 20-25, 25-9, 20-25. POG: Greta Manthe and Ella Stone.

In the Marble Falls games 8A won 25-15, 25-10. POG: Ava Williamson, Hayden Ely, Rachel Cox. 8B lost 11-25, 15-25. 7A won 25-3, 25-10. POG: Abigail Storms, Laney Kalsu, Jillian Muckelroy. 7B won 25-20, 25-17. POG: Carson Crow, Reese Farrell, Brianna Bone.
