Lady Tigers bats hot in two lop-sided wins

The Lady Tigers ran roughshod over two district foes when they blasted Alamo Heights 16-3 and Veterans Memorial 14-4. The two run-rule games left the Lady Tigers 13-6 and 4-1 in district.

Hits equaled runs with Alamo Heights as DS opened with four runs and ended with 7. Hittin for DS was Taylor Anderson 3, Jordan Cox 3, Haiden Anderson 3, Erika Kanetzky 2, Jo Hudgeons 2, Haley Kanetzky, Isabella Martinez and Linan Scott. Extra-base hits came from T. Anderson (3B,HR), H. Anderson (2B, HR). E. Kanetzky and Martinez triples.

Cox tossed the six innings giving up 5 hits, 3 runs, 3 walks and 8 strikeouts.

It only took five innings to dispose of Veterans Memorial as DS scored five in the first and third innings and finishing up with four in the fourth. The hits came from T. Anderson 2 (2B), E. Kanetsky 2, H.Anderson 2 (HR), H. Kanetzky, Mallory Sandoval, Martinez, Cox, Scott and Kate Tressler. It was H. Anderson's time to take the mound and pitched the five innings, gave up 6 hits, 4 runs, one walk and 4 strikeouts.
