Lady Tiger Soccer team overpowers opponents

The Lady Tigers soccer team has started off with two shutout wins in district play. Really in soccer they were blowouts. They overpowered Travis 9-0 and then continued with a 5-0 win over Crockett. Four of those goals came in the first half. Georgia Irons scored the first goal at the 32.56 mark with a crossover assist by Zoe Flores. Just a few seconds later (32.18) Sofia Piccuci got a goal when Kaitlyn Molnar assisted to put her in a one versus one with the goalie. At the 26.32 mark Flores used an assist from Jessica Carmichael on another one on one. Melissa Richardson got a goal with 3.45 remaining. The final goal was made with 18.43 remaining when Flores scored on a header goal with Piccuci assisting. After trailing 0-1 at the half, the JV team roared back to score three in the second half for the 3-1 win. Faith Wylie, Reagan Logsdon and Reid Johnson, all freshmen, scored the goals.
