Lady Tiger Basketball win Fredericksburg Tourney

It was another successful tourney endeavor for the Lady Tigers basketball team. They entered the Fredericksburg Battlin' Billies Classic and returned with their second tourney championship of the season. Dripping Springs got a taste of various size schools among their six opponents to further their experience. In the 1990's the Lady Tigers and Battlin' Billies had some monumental battles as district opponents. As a result of the tourney, Corbyn Davis was named the tourney MVP and Caroline Gamble was a member of the all-tourney team.

On the first day of action DS downed Graham 58-46 and Burnet 38-36. After their first day scare the margin of victory widened as Granbury fell 39-31 and an Australian team called the Aussie Travelers were dropped 61-30. On the final day, the semifinal opponent was Fredericksburg and the Lady Tigers held them off 48-40. This put the Lady Tigers opposite Mason. It was close all the way as DS opened a 15-11 advantage after one and that remained the margin of victory. It was 30-26 at the half, 39-34 after three and a final of 53-49.

Vs Burnet: Gamble 11, Johnson 8, Huslig 5, Stafford 4, Davis 4, Ashleigh Aksamit 4, O'Neal 2.

Vs Granbury: Gamble 17, Davis 7, Stafford 6, Huslig 4, Johnson 2, Madalyn Jarvis 2, Chloe Fredenburg 1.

Vs Aussie: Stafford 16, Davis 15, Gamble 13, Johnson 6, Lilee McGinnis 6, Fredenburg 5.

Vs Fredericksburg: Davis 18, Gamble 9, Stafford 8, Huslig 6, Johnson 4, O'Neal 3.

Vs Mason: Gamble 21, Johnson 15, Davis 6, Huslig 5, Stafford 4, O'Neal 2.
