Inclement weather had its say

A full week of sports were rudely interrupted by a freezing spell that came in on Thursday and hung around for the weekend. Dripping Springs had three major events scheduled for the campus that had to be tweaked. Anytime you spend time scheduling outdoor events for February you are open to such treatment. Seldom does one get to compete in comfortable weather regardless.

The tennis team was in a tournament and it was canceled. The two soccer teams canceled the JV games but played the varsities. The long-standing Tiger Relays were set to go but had to be canceled. Don't know if there is a time slot to make it up. The giant DS Tuck Memorial softball tourney was forced to vacate the Thursday schedule and redraw for a Friday-Saturday schedule. It covered four school campuses. Likewise for the DS Hill Country Baseball Classic covering several school sites. Thursday wiped out and Friday-Saturday redrawn.
