DSMS Lady Tigers season winding down

The DSMS Lady Tigers basketball season has ended. They completed the regular season with Sycamore Springs and then played a district tourney. One weekend was reserved for the B-teams and the next week the A-teams. The results of the A-team tourney were not available at press time.

In the scheduled games with SS 8A won 44-34, 7A lost 28-37 and 7B won 25-18.

8A scorers: Ella Beatty 23, Rihama Rogers 7, Shea Sisson 4, Sloan Geck 3, Chloe Lightfoot 2, Allie Jenkins 2, Bailey Rogers 2 Kira Preslar 1.

7A: Carys Lloyd 16, Lorelei Gamble 10, Carin King 2.

7B: Brooke Greenville 12, Ella Castillo 8, Margaux Smith 2, Lila Heinz 2, Ryan Byrd 1.

In the 8B tourney, the Lady Tigers not only won the tourney by defeating Bee Cave 27-16 and Hill Country 37-14 but ended the season undefeated. Scoring in the tourney were: Harper Teague 14, Chaela Lulling 12, Greenville 10, Luciana Gamez 5, Savannah Leonard 6, Addison Novosad 2, Quinn Burnham 4, Lily Ruff 3, Lightfoot 3. Others: Jenna Jones, Kara Caldwell, Ava Ashe.

7B tourney: Defeated Lake Travis 28-14; Defeated Hudson Bend 23-15; Lost to West Ridge in finals 11-20. Scorers were: Greenville 19, Heinz 14, Smith 12, Emilia Swannack 8, Castillo 7, Evan Witherspoon 4, Byrd 2. Others: Camryn Dorsey, Marlee Connolly, Willa Manske, Vivian Wahlers.
