DS Electric Shockers lead Tuesday night softball

The schedule this week for the Tuesday night adult softball league covers two nights designed to even up schedules. The results of these two nights made some major changes in the standings. Significant because the end of the season tourney pairings are determined by the standings.

League standings: DS Electric Shockers 14-0; Misfits 11-4; Sunset Canyon Baptist 8-5; DS Rentals Conglomerates 7-6; UnWanted 6-8; Baptist Bombers 4-9; Hill Country Bible Church 2-10; Chronic Offenders 2-12.

Monday scores: The Conglomerates scored first and last but it was what the Shockers did in between that made the 11-4 difference. U nWanted scored five in their final at bat to break a 6-6 tie to win 11-6 over Hill Country Bible. A late surge by Chronic Offenders fell one run shy of a major upset as the Shockers won 10-9. Chronic Offenders broke from the gate with seven and went on to defeat Hill Country Bible 13-8. The Misfits jumped out to a 10-1 lead and went on to a 13-7 victory over the Conglomerates. The Misfits struck quickly with 11 runs in the first two innings to defeat UnWanted 16-6.

Tuesday scores: Eight runs in fifth gave the Baptist Bombers a leg up to the 16-10 win over the Chronic Offenders. Five runs in the first gave Sunset Canyon Baptist the edge to a 9-5 win over Baptist Bombers. Sunset Canyon Baptist had more firepower in their 17-9 win over UnWanted. The Misfits downed Hill Country Bible 17-6, then continued their winning ways with an 18-13 win over the Conglomerates. The Shockers were too strong for the Conglomerates as well with a 15-4 victory.
