Drip Lacrosse prepares for playoffs

The high school lacrosse team wrapped up their regular season this past week and will move into the playoffs. Drip attackman Aiden Kane capped off his season against Westlake scoring 3 goals and adding an assist. His hat trick allowed him to set a new single season goal record for the Tigers at 54 goals. The previous record was held by current assistant coach, Gabe Reno at 53 goals in the 2018 season.

Late Sunday evening Central District Awards were announced and Drip had 7 players make the list. Making All-District were Aiden Kane (Attack), Ryan Williamson (Midfield), Keller Stafford (Defense) and Owen Rhodes (Faceoff). Jack Tanner (Attack), Cody Smith (Defense) and Connor Krystof (D-Mid) were named Honorable Mention All-District. Congrats to these players on the recognition of their 2022 performance.

The Tigers earned the #4 seed for the Class A Texas High School Lacrosse League playoff. They will start things off Saturday in Kingwood against the #13 seed, Kingwood. If they win on Saturday they will play Sunday against the winner of the #5 vs #12 matchup to earn a trip to the final four.

Dripping Springs will host the State Finals the following weekend, welcoming 16 teams to town. The Class AA, A and B Final Four along with the Class C and D Finals will be held on May 7th and 8th at Dripping Springs High School and Dripping Springs Middle School.
