Decade Football Games

1938: The Tigers rebounded nicely from their opening loss by defeating Lytton Springs 36-12.

1948: Dripping Springs suffered their second shutout by losing to Buda 12-0.

1958: Tigers scored their first touchdown but Allen Academy won the game 20-6.

1968: A 21-yard pass from Dennis Sansom to Joe Williamson in the first quarter was the only points as the Tigers blanked Granger 6-0. Randy Garnett rushed for 81 and Chester Kalinowska 49, while Paul Freitag intercepted two passes.

1978: The Tigers scored early and often to defeat TSD 40-0. Vern McCarty rushed for 138 yards and two TD's. Also scoring were Richard Falcon 2, James Godwin and Mark Watson. Chris Harvill kicked 4 EP's.

1988: Michael Myers rushed for 151, received 2-65 and scored four to lead the Tigers to a 35-7 decision over Johnson City. Brett Boydston passed for 140 and Victor Crosswell caught four passes for 64. Mark Tinsley had a 54 TD run.

1998: Tigers ran roughshod over Burnet 40-6. Chad Sandahl rushed for 106 yards. Scoring for the Tigers were Britt Peterson 3, Tony Salazar 2 and Sandahl.

2008: Dripping Springs overcame a 21-13 lead after three to score 22 points in the final stanza and defeat Wimberley 35-28. Hayden Fowlkes' 60 TD interception in fourth a key to the comeback. Others scoring were Kaleb Syring 2, Jeff Tuck and Jacob Moore.
