Cross Country heads back to state

It is back to state again for the Dripping Springs Cross Country teams as the Lady Tigers and Tigers each finished second at regionals held in Corpus Christi. The Lady Tigers finished behind former district foe, Boerne Champion, while the Tigers fell to district foe, Austin LBJ. Twenty-four teams competed at the regional level and the top three teams move on to the state level.

Regional girls standings: Top five: 1. Boerne Champion 45, 2. DS 83, 3. Edcouch-Elsa 95, Gregory-Portland 148, Mission Sharyland 192.

DS girls results: 9. Karsten Bobb 17.39.76; 10. Aubrie Caldwell 17.42.82; 15. Marleena Mickel 17.48.79; 17. Ellie Hovre 17.55.19; 43. Kate Ginther 18.43.52; 56. Maddie Livingston 18.57.77; 77. Kora Meyers 19.26.27.

Regional boys standings: Top five: 1. Austin LBJ 64, 2. DS 108, 2. Boerne Champion 108, Lockhart 120, 5. PSJA Memorial 173.
