Barber Shop Beer Nuts undefeated in Adult Softball

League play for the adult slow-pitch leagues has passed the halfway mark and still enjoying close competition.

Women's league standings: Beer Nuts 7-0; Life's A Pitch 6-2; Wimberley Women 3-4; Wonder Women 2-5; Scared Hitless 0-7.

Women's scores: The Barber Shop Beer Nuts continued their undefeated season with a pair of wins. They shut down Scared Hitless and then downed a stubborn Wimberley Women team 9-5. Wimberley used big innings to push past Life's A Pitch 16-4. Life's A Pitch came back to take a 15-6 win over Wonder Women. Wonder Women had better luck in their 20-4 win over Scared Hitless.

Tuesday Men's standings: Chronic Offenders 8-2; DS Rentals Conglomerates 6-4, DS Electric Shockers 5-5; Baptist Bombers 1-9.

Men's scores: The Chronic Offenders held onto their first place standings with a split on the night. They led the Conglomerates 1-0 going into the bottom of the fifth before bursting loose for eight runs to take the 9-2 win. The Bombers got an early lead and held on to notch a 9-8 win over Chronic Offenders. The Shockers took a pair by easing past the Bombers 14-9 and the Conglomerates 15-12.

Thursday men's league rained out again.
