Barber Shop Beer Nuts finish league champions

The DSASA Women’s softball league just finished their season. It was able to be played in near perfect conditions for the entire ten-week season. No rainouts. The Barber Shop Beer Nuts accomplished something that had not been done in 15 years. They became the league champions and not Wimberley. The Wild Wimberley Women were organized in 2002. They won that first year but lost the second. After that they successfully survived all challengers to win 14 in a row. The crack in invincibility began to show last year when the Beer Nuts and Bad News Babes let the best opportunity get away on the last game of the season. The Beer Nuts would not let it happen a second year. Even though the league had been settled, the last game between the Beer Nuts and second place Wonder Women went into extra innings before the game was settled.

Final standings: Beer Nuts 15-1, Wonder Women 12-4, Wimberley 9-7, Scared Hitless 3-13, Pink Ladies 1-15.
