Adult softball returns after rain

Surprise! Surprise! For the first time in five weeks all of the adult softball leagues were able to play their schedules without rain cancelling some.

Women's league: The women's league, weather permitting, will play two nights of games and their season will be over.

Standings: Barber Shop Beer Nuts 11-2, Life's A Pitch 11-2, Wonder Women 4-8, Wimberley Women 4-7, Scared Hitless 0-11.

Game scores: The Beer Nuts split their two games. They downed Wimberley 12-5 and then were shut out by Life's A Pitch 12-0. Scared Hitless suffered two losses. First a 16-2 defeat by Wonder Women and a 15-0 loss to Wimberley.

Leading hitters: 3- Shelley Nelson, Lisa Jasper, Debbie McMullen, Makayla Hurlbut. 2- Jodi Mamula, Sara Adams, Kristi Satterfield, Starlene Varnell, Crystal Babbington, Kelly Romano, Preslee Whitman, Sydna Barroso, Rose Oldham, Laura Filipovich, Sheri Church, Karen Lilley, Laurie Halfpenny, Alli Akina, Bailey Kennedy, Tina Cisneros, Haley Chambers.

Men's Tuesday league: Completed their season with co-Champions.

Final Standings: Chronic Offenders 10-5, DS Electric Shockers 10-5, DS Rentals Conglomerates 9-6, Baptist Bombers 1-14.

Scores: Shockers won all three of their games to gain the tie. Shockers 15 Bombers 5; Shockers 10 Conglomerates 7; Shockers 15 Chronic Offenders 5. Chronic Offenders 12 Conglomerates 2; Chronic Offenders 15 Bombers 10; Conglomerates 26 Bombers 5.
