Accolades continue for Tiger soccer

The Texas Association of Soccer Coaches announced their regional awards that included All-State. Showing the strength and reputation of the Dripping Springs programs, both squads had an abundance of honors. The Tigers and Lady Tigers each had four individuals named. Coming up soon will be more honors as the Sportswriters All-State teams will be selected as well as the Austin American-Statesman paper will name their All-Centex teams.

Tigers:

Adam Knutson,Sr, was named to the first team all-state as a midfielder. He led the team with 38 goals, 19 assists, 95 points and 4 hat tricks. He stamped his name in the record books. Game: 6 goals, 13 points. Season: 38 goals (tie), 95 points. Career: 81 goals, 201 points.

Javier Ortega, Sr: First team all-state defender. 4 goals, 6 assists, 14 points.

Enrique Alvarez, Sr: Second team all-state midfielder. 5 goals, 12 assists, 22 points.

Brenden Gajewski, Jr: Second team all-state forward. 18 goals, 8 assists, 44 points, 1 hat trick.

Region IV Coach: DS varsity coach Josh Hill; DS asst. coach William Kiaune.

Lady Tigers:

Ellie Hodsden, Fr. First team all-state forward. 48 goals, 13 asst, 109 pts, 9 hat tricks. School records: Game: 5 goals (tie), 10 pts (tie). Season: 48 goals, 109 pts. Riley Sisson, Jr. First

Riley Sisson, Jr. First team all-state midfielder. 11 goals, 8 asst, 30 pts, 1 hat trick.

Kaleigh Howell, Soph. Second team all-state defender. 1 goal, 7 asst, 9 pts.

Caroline Dill, Jr. Honorable mention all-state goalkeeper.
