Philip Morris Stribling 1932 – 2018

Philip Morris Stribling, long-time resident of Wimberley, Texas, died peacefully in his sleep on Dec. 21, 2018, at the age of 86, from complications of end-stage Alzheimer's Disease. Born in Sweetwater, Texas, on Dec. 11, 1932, to J.C. Stribling, III, and Stella Morris Stribling, Phil was raised in Sweetwater and graduated from Sweetwater-Newman High School in 1950. He went on to earn a degree in marketing from Texas Tech University and served as a first lieutenant in the Army during the Korean War. He was retired from a long and diverse professional career as a cattleman, entrepreneur, and real estate broker. Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 10, at 11 a.m., at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Wimberley. Interment to follow at St. Stephen’s cemetery
