Mary Ann Thomas 1946-2018

Mary Ann, 71, of Austin, was born to Willie Mae Stafford and Charles Louis Williamson in Edinburg, TX on November 11, 1946. She graduated from Jones High School in Houston, TX and attended the University of Houston. Twice married, her first husband and the father of her two children was Henry Arnold Dewey. Her second husband was James Thomas of Houston.

Mary Ann worked as an Administrative Assistant and in Accounting. Her hobbies included sewing, reading and church activities. She owned a trophy shop when she became ill with Sneedon’s Syndrome. Having suffered numerous strokes and illnesses over the last three decades, Mary Ann left this world surrounded by loved ones on March 2, 2018. Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Lynn Dewey and her husband, Paul Mailer, grandsons Logan Kerwyn Quirk and Makena Zen Mailer; and her son Phillip Arnold Dewey and his wife, Elizabeth Shatto Dewey and grandsons Kai James Dewey and Page Ralston Dewey. Mary Ann is also survived by her brother, Steve Williamson, and his wife, Linda.
