Visitors Bureau promotes Wedding Capital of Texas
The Dripping Springs Visitors Bureau staff and four Wedding Capital of Texas® volunteers attended the Wedding Extravaganza as an exhibitor at the Palmer Events Center in Austin, on Sunday Sept. 8.
The goal of attending and having a booth at the Wedding Extravaganza was to promote Dripping Springs as the Wedding Capital of Texas® and to bring awareness of the robust wedding industry in Dripping Springs.
“Dripping Springs is the ideal place to get married because of the world of opportunities and choices for the bride and groom’s special day,” Pam Owens, President and CEO of the Visitors Bureau, said, “Wedding parties can find everything from catering, music, bartenders, to florists and photographers, venues, lodging and more.”
According to the Wedding Guide, the organizers of the Bridal Extravaganza, the event had between 800 to 1700 attendees consisting of brides, family members, and wedding party members.
Flyers with detailed information about the Wedding Capital of Texas® were handed out, a slideshow displayed the wedding experts in Dripping Springs, and a photo opportunity was set up for brides to have their picture made in the Wedding Capital of Texas® booth.
Several Dripping Springs businesses were also exhibitors at the Bridal Extravaganza including the Terrace Club, Stonehouse, Premier Events, Memory Lane Event Center, Mercedes Morgan Photography, and the Sleep Inn and Suites Dripping Springs.
In 2015, The Texas House officially designated Dripping Springs as the Wedding Capital of Texas®. Wedding Capital of Texas® is a program of the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Dripping Springs Visitors Bureau.
