The Dripping Springs Sculpture Garden has reopened and now features new works from an additional artist, announced Pam Owens, president and CEO of the Dripping Springs Visitors Bureau.

The sculpture garden features more than 60 pieces displayed in a natural parklike setting. It's hours are Tue. through Thur. 9 a.m. – 4pm; Mon. and Fri. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sat. -Sun. 1 p.m.. to 6 p.m.

“We are pleased to announce that Doyle Fellers, a Dripping Springs resident, is now a featured artist of the Garden, with three new sculptures on display,” Owens said. “Doyle is known throughout Central Texas for his large stone and steel sculptures and his work has been exhibited in many public arenas, including the Worrell Gallery in Santa Fe. His work is also exhibited at his STUDIO:13 Garden and Gallery, located in Dripping Springs, which is open by appointment.”

The Dripping Springs Sculpture Garden is owned by Michelle and Phil Hoggatt, and is located on the grounds of Carved Stone, 5300 Bell Springs Road.

Hoggatt said, “We are pleased to welcome the pieces created by Doyle, and invite everyone to come to see beautiful, creative sculpted art, and at the same time enjoy nature in a peaceful setting. It is a dream come true for us not only to have a place to exhibit our own work, but to share the grounds with other sculptors from this area.”

Fellers, a member of the DS Visitors Bureau board of directors, said he recognized the significant role art galleries play as an attraction for tourists. His perceived need of art venues in the community led to his role in assisting the Hoggatts in developing the sculpture garden earlier in the year.

“The Dripping Springs Sculpture Garden is not just a display of beautiful art, but a place for local residents and visitors to relax and commune with nature,” Fellers said.

Owens added, “the Sculpture Garden is a significant addition to the artistic culture in our Dripping Springs community.”
