Science Mill Homeschool Day

Nanotechnology

The Science Mill’s monthly Homeschool Day on Thursday Jan. 9 will focus on careers in Nanotechnology.

In hands-on activities, students can examine images taken at four scales -- macro, micro, nano, and atomic -- visit the Nanospace Theme Park online and calculate the size of their hands in nanometers versus centimeters. Age-based Learning Labs include comparing different “nano” views, converting body measurements into nano-scale, and imagining life as the Incredible Shrinking Kid! Plus, students can explore the museum’s 50+ unique exhibits and see “Incredible Predators 3D”. Homeschool activities will run 10am-2pm, the museum will be open 10am-4pm.
