“It is an honor for the Dripping Springs Rotary to make a generous contribution to and for the benefit of our local Veterans,” Rotary Member Karlon Cox said. “There were a lot of our members and others in the community who came together to make this great evening happen.

The Dripping Springs Rotary Club donated $5,000 towards the new Patriots’ Hall project at its recent “Dinner and Dance Honoring our Veterans,” at Mercer Street Dance Hall.

“It is an honor for the Dripping Springs Rotary to make a generous contribution to and for the benefit of our local Veterans,” Rotary Member Karlon Cox said. “There were a lot of our members and others in the community who came together to make this great evening happen. We were thrilled to have a great turn out from the Veterans and many others to make this evening a tremendous success. We all look forward to seeing our local Vets complete their new home where it will serve Veterans for many generations.”

The Patriots’ Hall project intends to build an “innovative retreat for area veterans.” It will also house the Dripping Springs Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Posts, who are currently meeting at the old Stephenson Building (the old Hays County Precinct 4 Office).

The event included a dinner and dance with music provided by Hot Texas Swing Band, and various door prizes throughout the evening.
