Road Construction Notice: Temporary Lane Closures on RR 12 on August 9-10, 2020

Final lane closures will take place this weekend as road construction is nearing completion on Founders Park Road.

The remainder of Founders Park Road is scheduled to be paved on the evening of Sunday, August 9, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Along with Founders Park Road, RR 12 at Founders Park Road will be paved that evening beginning at 9:00 p.m. Due to the paving, there will be temporary lane closures on RR 12 between 9:00 p.m. August 9 and 5:00 a.m. August 10.

The RR 12 improvements will include turn lanes for Founders Park Road and widening of the shoulders. Founders Park Road will remain closed briefly the following week to allow the pavement to cure and striping to be completed. Following this, road construction will be complete, and Founders Park Road will reopen.

Construction on Founders Park Road began earlier this year. Temporary road closures were due to construction of a new driveway to Founders Park Pool and the Pound House, improvements to Founders Park Road, and improvements at the intersection of RR 12 and Founders Park Road.
