Rezykowski wins Scholastic Writing Award
Connor Rezykowski, a Dripping Springs Middle School eighth-grader ,has been awarded a Silver Key Award for his short story titled “The Last Sunset” in the 2019 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Competition.
"Profound stories come from unlikely places if you remain curious,” Rezykowski said of his short 3,000 word story about friendship and personal loss.
The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are the oldest student art and writing awards in the United States and annually receive more than 350,000 entries in 29 categories of art and writing from eighth-12th grade students nationally. Connor's Language Arts teacher is Alex Shindeldecker.
