Reeves resigns from DSISD Board
In a surprise announcement, Dripping Springs ISD (DSISD) issued a press release stating that DSISD Trustee Shelly Reeves submitted a letter of resignation to DSISD Board President Carrie Kroll. The esignation was immediate. “Serving on the Board of Trustees since 2010 has been a great honor and privilege,” Reeves said. “I have always cared deeply about the quality of education offe ed to children of this community and believe we have taken many positive steps to ensure that quality. However, health issues have interfered with my ability to continue to serve in the manner the position deserves and I will not be able to fulfill the emainder of my term.” The next steps to fill the position will be determined y trustees at a future meeting. Mrs. Reeves’ term is set to expire in May of 2019. “I’d like to thank Mrs. Reeves for her years of service and dedication to Dripping Springs ISD, during which time she has always put the best interests of our students at the forefront of decisions,” DSISD Superintendent Bruce Gearing said.
