Pouring Over Books returns

The Friends of the Dripping Springs Community Library will host its eighth annual “Pouring Over Books” literary event and wine tasting on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019 from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Prospect House, 12745 Silver Creek Road. The event benefits the Dripping Springs Community Library.

“This year’s event will include a panel discussion on climate change by local climate experts and writers— ‘Climate Change: The Clock is Ticking’ -- as well as a book signing by Asher Price, the environmental beat reporter for the Austin American Statesman,” John Hoag, FODSCL President, said. “This event is always fun, as we discuss issues in a respectful manner, and we invite members of the community to come out and support the library.”

The panel will be moderated by John Pacheco, Editor of the Dripping Springs Century News, and we will have light appetizers catered by Winner Winner, as well as wine specially selected by the Friends support group, the Wine Divas. Alex Dormont’s Hot Texas Swing Band will provide their down-home brand of music for the event.  General admission tickets are $50.  To purchase tickets, or for more information, visit www.fodscl.org. FODSCL is a 501(c)3 charity.
