At the Library in December

The following is a list of activities happening at the Dripping Springs Community Library for December.

Acrostic Poetry Contest

Submit acrostic poems through December 18th for a chance to win a Kindle Fire HD8! Two winners will be chosen, one from the Children's age group (through age 12) and one from the Teen/Adult age group (ages 13 & up). The Kindles are provided by the Dripping Springs Wild Game Dinner. Judging will take place by December 19th. Previous Kindle winning families are not eligible to win but are welcome to participate. An acrostic poem is a type of poem where the first, last or other letters in a line spell out a particular word or phrase. The most common of an acrostic poem is where the first letters of each line spell out a word or phrase. Follow the link below for more information:

Entries will be accepted through December 20th, and the winner will be announced on December 21st. Previous Kindle winning families are not eligible to win but are welcome to participate.

Share your warm wishes through December 19th

It’s about warm blankets-- We are collecting washable "warm wishes" such as knit hats, shawls, or lap-sized throw blankets by the tree in the Children's Wing. More information about how to donate can be found at the following link:
