Kerrville Renaissance Festival returns

The Kerrville Renaissance Festival returns on Jan. 25 through the 27, and on Feb 2 and 3, at the River Star Arts and Events Park and Hill Country Youth Event Center, 4000 Riverside Dive, in Kerrville. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Guests of all ages will find family-friendly entertainment at seven stages on the fair grounds. Popular acts will include The Great Rondini Escape Artist, Marty the Juggler, Magical Mystical Michael, belly dance troupes, Las Vegas juggler/comedian Michael Goudeauand, various other artists.

The festival will also host an all-day lineup of music for all five days. Scheduled musical artists include Lady Prudence, Coal Black Rose, The Dublin Harpers, The Toobadours, Klaus Weiland, and Bagpiper David Hazlett.

To showcase history, the Vinland South Shield Wolves will conduct demonstrations at the Great Viking Army Camp. There will be Archery with Greenwoode Archery, Glassblowing Demo, photo backdrops, games, and more.

For shoppers, there will be more than 70 vendor booths offering unique handmade crafts, including yard art, henna body art, face painting, handmade hair garlands, hair braiding, works in wood, leather garments and accessories, and food vendors (which will include local craft beers).

Attendees are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the festival by showing up in Renaissance era clothing and attitude.
