Hometown Missions needs flood relief volunteers this coming week

Hometown Mission is asking for volunteers to help in its ongoing efforts to help residents of The Springs Apartments located at 289 Springs Lane, which were damaged in the recent floods.

“We received noticed of the Springs Apartment residents whose apartments will be ready the week of June 16,” Hometown Missions Board Member Robin Robinson said. “They need help moving their belongings back into their apartments from storage and possibly hooking up washers and dryers.”

Here are the dates and needs for the upcoming week of Jun. 16:

 

Sunday, June 16

Unit 301  |  Move heavy furniture already in her apartment and hook up washer and dryer. 

 

Monday, June 17

Unit 102  |  Move items from LockTite Storage back to apartment.

 

Tuesday, June 19

Unit 1002  |  Waiting to hear back on needs.

 

Wednesday, June 20

Unit 1202  |  Waiting to hear back on needs.

Unit 1401  |  Move from storage unit to apartment; unpack and set-up of home belongings; washer/dryer hook-up. Elderly woman who will need some extra help.

 

If you would like to volunteer on any of these days, please contact Hometown Missions by calling or texting (512) 481-2562, or by calling Robinson directly at (512) 954-8072, and notifying them of your availability date(s).

“I want to thank the Dripping Springs Community for their help,” Robinson said. “Our neighbors are going through a difficult time and have expressed their heartfelt gratitude for all the help.”
