Ed Mena organizes golf tourney for missing children
Ed Mena, of Dripping Springs Allstate, organized the 9th annual Golf Tournament benefitting the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), and secured a $20,000 “Allstate Foundation Helping Hands” grant to benefit the organization.
Ed Mena, organizes the NCMEC Golf Tournament each year to raise funds and awareness for the organization – as his own children were missing for over a year.
NCMEC, a private non-profit, helps locate missing children, reduce child sexual exploitation and prevent child victimization. It was established in 1984 by the United States Congress at the behest of the Reagan Administration.
“Our Allstate volunteers see firsthand the opportunities and challenges facing the Austin community”, said Mena. “Giving back is core to who we are, which is why we dedicate time to volunteer and help improve the lives of children and families in Greater Austin.”
The NCMEC Golf Tournament was supported by a collection of other Allstate agency owners in the Central Texas area.
