DSISD hires Drillette for Finance and Operations 

At the Feb. 25 meeting, the Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Superintendent Bruce Gearing’s recommendation of Scott Drillette as the district’s new Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations. 

Mr. Drillette has more than 15 years of experience in educational administration, including a year in his current role as Manor ISD’s Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he was the superintendent of Brock ISD for three years, after serving as the district’s CFO for a year. Mr. Drillette served in several other capacities in Brock ISD: Assistant Superintendent, Athletic Director, and high school principal. Prior to arriving in Brock, he had been a teacher then an assistant principal in Aledo ISD. He started his career in education as a math teacher at two Texas school districts, and also spent eight years in private business.

In his position at Dripping Springs ISD, Mr. Drillette will be the district’s Chief Financial Officer. In addition to managing DSISD business and financial services, he will develop the annual district budget. The position oversees support functions such as Human Resources, Transportation, Facilities and Construction, and Child Nutrition.

Mr. Drillette received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University and his master’s degree in Educational Administration from Tarleton State University.

Mr. Drillette will begin his new responsibilities at DSISD in late March. Currently Ms. Kay Kizziar is serving as the interim Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations.
